The Etchings are a four-piece rock band from Buffalo, NY. Their music is a visceral, volcanic smattering of four brains smashing against one another, trying desperately to find a middle ground. Their music has been heard in basements, attics, porches, mental hospitals, and stages across the Northeast.

In the past year, The Etchings were the winners of Buffalo's biggest battle of the bands and a $5,000 grand prize - Artvoice's B.O.O.M (Battle of Original Music). This contest lasted 6 months, featured almost 100 band submissions, and 32 different bands. The Etchings then went on to open up for national acts including The Tea Party, Bedouin Soundclash, River City Extension, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. The Etchings have performed at some of Western New York's biggest venues, including Thursday At The Square, Mohawk Place, The Tralf, Town Ballroom, Molson Canal Concert Series, Soundlab and Nietzsche's. In 2010, The Etchings were personally invited by Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls to perform at the Music Is Art Festival, and invited to perform once again for the 2011 festivities.

In the fall of 2011, The Etchings completed renovation and remodeling of their private studio, House Of Logic Audio (located in the heart of Kaisertown), and are currently in the process of mixing and mastering their first full-length album.

Rocco DellaNeve.. began playing in various musical groups while attending Hamburg High School-it was there where he met fellow Etchings member Nick Randall. He has written and performed with several groups since (including Moloko Plus & BeArthur) and has toured nationally with Jimmy Van Zant. Though he thoroughly enjoys tearing up jazz standards on piano or thumping out funk bass lines, The Etchings begged him to step in as a guitarist- and DellaNeve has more than met the challenge. He resides in Buffalo, where he continues to compose, produce and engineer.

Nick Randall.. first picked up the guitar when he was a baby. Many years of struggling to sing Billy Joel songs through “Mr. Microphone” eventually pushed Nick to pursue music professionally. It was at Berklee College of Music where Randall studied the behavior of dangerous animals regularly- David Tronzo, Bryan Baker, and Jon Damien to name a few. Randall has performed with Boston’s “The Make,” and NYC Based “Lucius.” A fearless improviser, Randall enjoys the comfort of playing preconceived compositions, and recently finished his first full-length solo effort, Twenty Miles Out.

Ben Randall.. is the perfect anchor to The Etchings. His concise lines are the perfect counterweight to the lofty style of the groups’ dual songwriter format. Ben has studied theory and composition with Geoff Perry of the gypsy jazz group "Babik." He prefers only the deepest most grumbling tones available on the bass.

Jesse Rejewski.. is one of Buffalo’s best-kept secrets. A wizard of audio, he is seen regularly out in the Buffalo music scene and beyond, running lights, PA, and recording for local musical legends. His duties in the band reach far beyond just keeping time behind the drum kit. He recorded and engineered the bulk of the bands debut EP, titled Sketchings.
